While I would agree with you personally this is simply not true.

It depends, we have two "work" parties at the company I work at.

Here is the issue.

The ignorance here is palpable.

Stop being ignorant - if you care to see why you are just as bad as the "gamers" who locked down this award go read my other reply I won't re-post it, it is very long.

You talk about narcissistic gamers but I see people all over this discussion, straw hat, namonal, jewlfloewhlfh etc who are just as bad (in other words you are only thinking about things from your perspective).
