I totally agree about many dealerships shying away from upfront quotes. That's one thing I look for to gauge dealership's business practice and I try to avoid ones with no quotes without a visit.

My exact situation but almost half the budget on a new car. More or less locked on Jets gli in the end; sad there is no gti wagon.
I, as an owner, couldn’t agree more with the CX-5 part but I am looking for the CX-5 of the wagon (big hatch) world. What might that be?
Not into manuals but wagons shouldn’t die. It is like social responsibility from automakers for likes of us.
Sad to see that go away. One of the coolest cars you can purchase as a family man. The only thing which goes against it and Merc E wagon, is the higher price than sedan in general. I hope Volvo keeps improving its wagons to fill the gap.
That is also true for Chevy Bolt which has turn signals down below in a different cluster and it was indeed a bit surprising when I was driving behind one.
On the same line somebody (most probably) or something created a cluster of dimples on my new car’s hood and found that much later. What does insurance in such case? PDR is within deductible, no?
I don’t think I can buy what I want in 2018, a VW GTE (phev Gti) Alltrack.
+1 for a wagon, if only we has a gti wagon, it would have been 2 recommendations in one. I have a crossover and I always long for a good and affordable wagon to trade it in. My favorite would be Audi rs4 Avant but way outside my budget, even a4 Avant is rare to find.
How about a cruz, from consumer reports top 10 list. Current hatch looks great.
Would love to see this car with 2-row variants. That sounds more plausible than the 3-rows.
How can one know the invoice price? Are online tools like TrueCar reliable there? I mean how can I, as a customer, be sure that I am getting a good deal. I assume that anything lower than the invoice price is good for me.
Power or torque?
Sad to see the demise of wagons. IMO opinion this form is the best balance of utility and fun. If given an option, I am ready to trade in my crossover SUV to a wagon on the same platform. In fact, had to buy this as there was none (almost) available in the price range (under $30k).
Also, is this only me or the car looks raised from behind like C-Max or Focus.
If only it had a more powerful engine. 2.5ltr from Forester could have been a great addition here.
http://www.popsuv.com/253.html though I would call it CX-6 as it looks bigger than my CX-5.
