Alan Taylor is missing the point. Most of us aren't actually calculating the speed of ravens - but we bring that up because the logistics don't make sense.

I hate to say this - and yes, I shall continue watching - but GoT seems to have turned the corner and become bad television. A lot of our attachment is the result of previous seasons, and while we ooh and ahh at long-expected battles between dragons and [fill opponent name here] and meetings between particular

Some of Rogen's ideas seem like the come from the same place my buddies and I have ideas after several drinks. Maybe hanging out by the pool at Palm Springs, or at a lazy BBQ after a few beers. Someone tosses a random idea out - and someone else adds to it, and everyone starts chuckling….until the wives/GFs come by

I agree - but then I wonder why is it a big deal. Seriously. Never mind about the ethos of online piracy et al, but how does this really impact a GoT viewer.

I'm curious about the disparity in rating between the review (A-) and the 5 reviews from AV Club members (B-). Did the five actually see it? Or is it a rating based on their perception of whether they'll like it.

Maybe I'm a cynic, but part of me almost believes all of this is a work by HBO. I cannot see how a leak would affect subscriber numbers - I personally know people who subscribe to HBO just to watch GoT, and then unsubscribe at the end of each season - and the same places you can ostensibly find the leaks (Reddit,

I'm drawing comparisons to the Mad King because of her reliance on dragon-fire. The Mad King was not hesitant to burn his enemies, and we see Dany lacking that same reluctance. The Mad King also had some strong counselors - like Tywin - but failed to heed their counsel near the end.

I think it's interesting that the Unsullied claim to WANT Dany to be their ruler, but she uses her blood-lineage to assert her queenship with Jon, and the threat of dragon-fire to make the Lannister bannermen kowtow. Perhaps that's the lesson about ruling - some you rule through their heart, some out of obligation,

I would assume that you would have much - if not the exact same - ingredients. Sea salt pita chips - hopefully we're seeing sea salt, and pita. Let me guess - is there water and mango puree in the mango drink? Hummus? Are you expecting hummus without chick peas and olive oil?

Off on a tangent….the TJ Miller read was interesting.

It's funny how many trademark moments are a product of serendipity.

It's almost as if this show's moral is to NOT grab the brass ring. If Richard had a chance to do everything all over again, would he still do it? Would he turn down that six-figure bonus that Belson waved in front of him in the pilot? Would Jared still have left Hooli?

I have this weird feeling that he's a closet Republican. His "professional" demeanor is one of anarchist and Satanist, but he actually hosts Bible readings and attends Young Republican meetings covertly.

Try watching the movie through the lens of the Pixar Continuity Theory - and it takes on more macabre overtones.

I'm tired of "brand."

I'm not gay, so I'm not going to pretend to understand your perspective.

I'm curious as to why they switched settings from World War 2 to World War 1. Since you're essentially creating an alternate reality anyways (unless I missed the stories about a scantily-clad Amazon in the trenches of Verdun), I cannot think of any rationale for the change.

Doesn't it take time for shows to mature a bit?

Curious….with the advent of a truly international box office…

It's a generous act - who here is willing to donate $5,000 to a total stranger? - but it's also interesting to note that the costs for in-state students is over $25,000 a year. Every dollar helps, right?
