Wisconsinite of 20 years here. They’ve been underfunding the DNR in WI for the duration of Scott “Scatty” Walker’s governorship. They’ve been pushing out senior staff, narrowing the scope of power they have, and changing language left and right from the Wisconsin Idea to the state’s stance on climate change (much as

Brick at the end falls off or flat allowing them all to fall flat cascading backward. The only special tool you need is a piece of wood in between each brick to get uniform distance.

You don’t want to participate in the death pool?

Also, now we have fake news police, so there’s a (subjectively) arbitrary group of people deciding what news is real. This means that eventually the public will come to accept when the fake news police call opposing viewpoints “fake” and toss it in the same category as complete fabrication.

I think this would be more appropriate as a discussion of the uncanny valley or people’s general discomfort with thinking for themselves about the whole thing. It used to make me uncomfortable when a studio would release a movie after an actor had died during filming or before release. That was completely my own

I predict Betty White on New Year’s Eve.

It’s an ethical issue in the sense of research ethics, informed consent that you’re being observed, which in itself is an issue because it effects the outcome. But I digress. And I’m rambling.

And US citizens have no leg to stand on complaining, what with the pray the gay away legislation (actual torture, occasionally fatal, always damaging) and promotion of legislation in African countries that make homosexuality a capital crime.

Isn’t it akin to scanning the tabloids for little gems of truth that would never make it into a reputable publication? I mean sure, 99% (or more) is just plain BS, but if you had an encounter, would you call the authorities who would, at best, run drug tests and a mental exam and at worst report you to the military

I liked the story and the scenery. I hated the casting. I hated it so much.

Ridiculous that many municipalities and even states have laws on the books preventing tall grass, and offer an obstacle course as an option for getting a permit to have a native lawn.

If someone says a holiday greeting to me, I repeat it back to them because then you’re acknowledging the holiday they celebrate. However, not once has anyone ever said Happy Chanukah or Habari gani to me.  A couple of times I’ve heard “Happy Solstice.”

You either loved it or hated it. I found that people in healthcare (such as myself) loved it, because the attitudes and situations were a lot like the demeanor of real healthcare settings.

It’s the methanol. I had to look it up the other day because I didn’t know if it was possibly to drink yourself blind, and if it was, why that was. Ethanol won’t do it, but methanol can, but will simply kill you if you drink too much.

There are so, so many examples. You shouldn’t stop there.

Thanks for posting. This is a big piece of the puzzle that the media doesn’t talk about. My dad was an ag-equipment salesman for over 40 years and my grandfather owned a Ford tractor dealership for several decades as well. Both were proponents of “no till” for preventing both erosion and some degree of nutrient

Also, for anyone who is curious, the idea that drinking moonshine might make you go blind is true, and it’s because of the methanol content. Methanol, if you don’t drink enough to kill yourself, damages the optic nerves.

The people who ignore all the horrible shit that comes from Donald Trump are the same type of people who jumped on the McCarthy bandwagon. It didn’t matter what evidence alleged communists mounted in their own defense because Hoover wouldn’t even let the White House know what evidence they had, and the people just ate

And that is not an accident in the U.S. When people don’t know how to determine fact from fiction, they are much more easily manipulated. Just tell people what they want to hear, and they will believe and act upon it.

Your reply illustrates how little you understand how and why relations are what they are between the US and oh, any other nation in the world. Time to hit the books, kid.
