The problem with this observation is that the rails to trails programs utilize abandoned freight lines. I saw it when I was quite young. Looking back, I liked it for what it was, but it has so much more potential. Can you imagine a remake of Howard the Duck done in the style of Sin City, making the characters as gritty as they should be and dropping the slapstick?
