Really. I can’t stand Stephens either, but he definitely came off as the adult in the room here, an adult patiently but gently swatting away spam-children.... This exchange was so embarrassing for Samer, or at least, I felt embarrassed for him because he doesn’t seem to have the sense to do it himself.

Yeah, basically, the conversation was “You’re a doodoo head!” and then Stephens responded with “You shouldn’t call people doo doo heads!” and then “Here are a compelling facts that prove you are a doo doo head!

So Stephens took the high road and you wrote a bunch of emails that look like they could have been written by an angry 12 year-old, and you actually think that by writing this and copying those emails and publishing them, we’re going to take your side?

That last email is the one you should have sent first, and it’s a shame you had to let Bret Fucking Stephens hand you your ass before you realized that.

I feel like some people here in the comments need to find a better bank. I exclusively use credit unions, and in the past 8 years I’ve had fraud charges show up twice at my current CU, and they notified me of the charges, refunded me the money that day, and had a new card to me within a couple days.

Really? Whenever I pre-pay, I only get charged the amount I actually put into the tank. The card gets authorized for up to $X, and if I only want to get a full tank, I only pay that much. But, YMMV (haven’t used that acronym in a while, but it seemed oddly appropriate for the topic).

Or you could use the other parts of her advice that don’t require a phone pay system instead of acting like you’re offended by some “nice gas station privilege

Just another example of why it’s always better to tip in tradable goods like ammunition, clean bandages, preserved meats, etc.

A vegan article that took an entire paragraph before turning sanctimonious. Impressive.

Religious laws are stupid and shouldn’t be a part of modern society.

Faulty eyewitness information. Happens all the time. See the DC Sniper case when everyone was looking for a white van due to information from eyewitnesses. The killers were actually driving a blue Chevy Caprice.

Yeah he totally signed up for money, power and greed. There was even a check box on the forms he filled out when he signed up that specifically said “You are doing this for the corporate overlords.”

You obviously have no member of your family in the armed services. I do, as well as a few friends, and they do not joint

It was. It’s like Rotten Tomatoes: Critics look for other criteria that other critics enjoy, but that have little to do with the entertainment value that an audience enjoys. I respect all the critical blathering, I sincerely do, but it doesn’t at all change how much fun the episode was, and to actually experience a

Damn, I thought this was an A episode—full of surprises, and clever in its bringing together divergent plot lines. I haven’t enjoyed the show this much in years. And I’m glad Rick is still alive (even though weeks of promos all but promised he would die).

I don’t know, I liked it just fine. The dream sequence with Shane was legit good and ended with a really effective jump scare. After all this I might actually miss Rick, and blowing up the bridge was a suitable exit. From the world of the others at least. The flaming zombies all falling into the river looked good and

I think he ran the concession stand in week 3 and successfully kept Jameis Winston away from the crab legs.

He could start for the Bills tomorrow

“Let’s be clear about what happened here — Donald Trump Jr misstated statistics so he could attack Angus King with a neo-Nazi dogwhistle,” ThinkProgress journalist Aaron Rupar tweeted.

The ref did the right thing. It’s a lovely tribute, but the ref shouldn’t be an arbiter on what messages are accepted or not.
