Set your expectations low for this game, and you will be pleased with the end product when it surpasses them. If they show too much of the game, people will whine that they didn’t live up to their promises.

That’s right we do. The REAL Shep is the one you made for yourself!
Was just about to point out the Inquisition races/voice actors. I imagine ME:A’s human only thing was a decision based more on the story than studio limitations. I think if Bioware wanted to make a ME with multiple playable races, they could easily do so (because they already have).
Could be. I think a lot of people are just concerned because they’re so used to seeing so much of a game before it’s released. So, when a AAA game is announced, and keeps things under wraps more than most games typically do, everyone assumes that’s because they have nothing to show.
Considering this is Sony and they make those 4K HDR TV’s, I wouldn’t be surprised if they start advertising some current/newer TV’s as being “PS4 Pro Best Matches”.
Yeah I understand how many people would be put off by it. I played both XIII and XIII-2 prior to LR, which set up certain expectations. When LR first came out I played it and found that it presented something else entirely, which surprised me in a good way.
Not necessarily. The world, combat, and core mechanics of the game are really what make it so good.
Glad to see Lightning Returns mentioned here. FFXIII and FFXII-2 had mixed reactions (Maybe mixed is a bit generous), but Lightning Returns was really phenomenal. Even though it is part of the 13 series, it really is it’s own game.
I’ve always wanted to write/read counterpoint articles about certain games that were buried under any sort of bandwagon effect, explaining why you SHOULD play them, or what they have to offer independent of popular opinion.
Battleborn/Battlefront/Destiny/Doom. Sounds like you have plenty of other games to enjoy that are more to your liking. Someone’s entertainment of a game is subjective, so if you say it’s a waste of your money, then that’s true, but others have been very pleased with the $40 price.
I’ve had a similar experience. I’ve been playing both solo and with friends on voice-chat. Only once however have I run into a angry teammate that feels like blaming the rest of us for the entire team’s failures. Whether true or not, he certainly wasn’t helping bring the team together. It was a control point map, and…
I believe there are two things that are currently helping Overwatch quite a bit:
Yes... playing Mercy is super fun, but without team members around you, she has no escape plan. It’s almost always a better option to use your pistol instead of running. Even knowing this, I’ve found myself going up against Mercy and thinking I had it in the bag, only for her to whip out her gun and shoot me dead…
There is always a way, I’ve found. It’s just a matter of finding it with the right hero, and relying on your team to follow-up (That’s the hardest part). I’ve found that on maps with those hellish chokepoints like Anubis and Hanamura, Tracer is one of your best bets. As Tracer, alone behind the choke, you’re not going…
Looks like a lot of people with this issue are on Xbox. I was playing with a friend of mine on PC and he also ran into this issue. The only thing that fixed it for him was a complete restart of his computer.
