Oh, ffs. I’ll cite some actual numbers to provide context.

Here’s a study published in the journal Health Physics, measuring radioactivity of phosphogypsum piles. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1850391/.

The concentration of Radon-226 was found about 1.1 Becquerel per gram. One Becquerel is a single radioactive decay

Never ceases to amaze me how a vehicle so poorly fit for use is in such high demand. Be it a Wrangler or a G-wagen, it’s a Jeep thing...I don’t understand.

The ones in Miami already had immobilizers 20 years ago, this seems like a step backwards.

This is just Big Beet trying to stay relevant in the mainstream. But we know it’s an industry that’s riddled with nepotism and shady practices.

I like that there are niches that manufacturers fill for their performance variants. The GRC is the all rounder, the Type R is the track rocket, the Elantra N is the fun raucous one, and the Golf R is refined and sophisticated. Not one single car is better than the other, IMO, since they all fill different niches. You

I’ll go with he obvious answer, GPS/Nav. A quick estimation of the number of times that I and my close friends use our cars’ nav systems is 0%. Even with the cool HUD integration on my current ride I grab my phone for nav every single time.

Maybe if grids fucking installed peak load batteries and also encouraged people to install batteries in their home, they wouldn’t have to... deal with peak loading and having so much excess power generation in the rest of the day.

And it begins.

Toyota just needs to ditch Subaru and put in their own i4 in the GT86.

Swapping out incandescent reverse bulbs for white LEDs is perhaps the simplest “mod” of all (other than adding a +5hp sticker of course)... but there is real satisfaction in seeing those babies light up white.

I found the 2020 version quite usable through my Roku except for one thing. You could either view a race live or wait until it was done and then stream a re-run. You could not show up 30 minutes after race start and catch up. Hopefully the new version fixes that oversight.

There should be a two tiered driving license.

I think you confuse faster with better. The biggest shame of this car is that the power delivery is not linear. Other than that it’s great. Almost everyone mods and tunes these to get +20 hp, fill in the torque dip and its fine. I just wish it didn’t need to be modded. I sold mine for a fast car and I really miss it.

MISSION SPENDNOW

So much for being grounded to the ground

The Pontiac G6 GXP came from the factory with this thing. It was like, a generic brand Porsche whale tail.

Kinda like the Fiata.

Japanese styling.  German reliability.  They got it backwards.

What’s ironic is the Miata handles worse at the limit than a BRZ.

I just have to chuckle every time I see a story about the BRZ needing more power while people think the Miata shouldn’t be touched and is fine with the power it has because it’s about how it handles and not about how fast it is.
