MSF course is a great place to start. After riding for 50 years I can tell you to also take time and buy a lot of bikes. Slowly move up from a 250 to a 350 to a 650 and so on...which is how it was done back in the day. Do not take the course then go buy a Katana and expect not to kill yourself.
