Ignorant here: does the estate tax apply only to liquid assets, or all assets? Let’s use Grassley’s farm example (but at a much lower rate since there aren’t that many $5.5M farms). Would you have to pay taxes on the value of the farm when your parent dies?

I don’t think Trump’s endorsement really matters to his base. They don’t care about what he says, they just want more Trumps in government. They ignored his endorsement in the primary because they saw Moore as a more Trumpian candidate than Strange. If Trump had endorsed Doug Jones or called for a write in campaign

How easy to say, when it’s Billy Bush’s career at stake and not yours.

Oh fucking brother.

A 172-page brief? After the time had been served? Well. Shelling out $200k (an educated guess) to clear a criminal record suggests at the very least that his sentencing statement of remorse wasn’t exactly heart-felt.

There is a difference between advising women not to let their guard down and saying that women who ostensibly have let their guard down are making excuses for fucking up when they get raped while their guard is down. Will I advise my daughter to be careful and not drink too much at parties lest she end up incapable of

Look, some women can be the most ardent supporters of an oppressive patriarchal system. Pam has survived in spite of/by virtue of her physical attributes all her life and can’t see the forest for the trees.

I have to be honest, and I’m sure I’ll receive flack for it, but I get what she’s saying. Yes, women should be able to walk into a business meeting (regardless of the unusual setting that it’s taking place in) and be safe.

I take this matter seriously as it is not indicative of who I am.

You could only set up one for yourself. Now you can theoretically set up any number of accounts for several nonexistent unborn children.

That is some solid advice about going through the major holidays + a crisis! I haven’t heard that before but I totally agree with you.

Yes to all of this! I agree that seeing how your partner reacts to/deals with conflict and hardship before committing to them long-term is HUGE, because that’s a big sign as to what they’ll be like when life’s inevitable big problems and losses happen down the road. Will they have your back and really be there for you

I had to have a hysterectomy three months after I met my now-husband. His behavior through that ordeal was a huge motivator for our getting married two months later. ;)

An “I Hate Cops” blurb....?

That’s also a great point. My cat, 4 years on, has still not fully adjusted to our son. He was never physically aggressive toward him, but our cat will get in my son’s face when he’s trying to play and will knock over toys just because he can.

...Or a pop star.

LW3: No, you shouldn’t keep these cats. They’re not making you or your kids happy, and it sounds like they’re not happy, either. It’s not an emergency situation, so you have time to find them an appropriate home, which does not mean dumping them at a high volume kill shelter. Contact some rescue groups in your area

The typo thing=children is unkind. You should not marry this man not because you may be young, based on your typos. You should not marry this man because after hooking up on-again, off-again, fooling around, whatever it was for three years, he can’t know after three months of monogamy if he’ll be satisfied and

“I believe you are a child. / right now you need to be (...) nutting all over the place.”
