Doug Jones (from Hellboy) and Stephen Tobolowsky (from everything).

I actually can't think of another film in recent memory that I've loved so much that's gotten such a negative reaction (maybe The Tree of Life as well). I mean, Netflix is not the place to go for quality critiques of any film, but since The Master was added to streaming, I did a quick scan of the reviews and there's

Paul Thomas Anderson.

No one; there simply aren't enough fictional "Colins".

Two films immediately came to mind - Blue Velvet and Oldboy. Almost made my Dad/Step-Mom watch Under the Skin, as it's my favorite film of the year thus far, but I caught myself… Finally, I'm learning.

"Dear Zachary" anyone?

Still waiting for a blu-ray release of season 3 (arguably my favorite season thus far) - but I think I read that there isn't enough demand, so it's not happening. I had a sad day that day.

I know it's true, but it's crazy to me that someone like Anderson would have funding problems. Good thing people like Megan Ellison exist. I remember reading about that Jeremy Renner casting - I can't imagine his portrayal of Freddie Quell being on par with (or even similar to) Phoenix's.

Paul Thomas Anderson, probably. I mean, he's picked up the pace a bit but for a while it was looking like it'd be five year gaps from Punch-Drunk Love onward — few (if any?) contemporary directors get my blood flown' like PTA.
