Depressing is a hopeless euphemism.
Depressing is a hopeless euphemism.
Speaking of Worf straight lines, he has great straight faces too.
Dammit! You beat me to it. That line is classic.
This is why we are doomed as a species. Because we really are this fucking stupid.
Michael Caine was once asked how he felt about whichever Jaws sequel he was in - I think it was this one; the question was obviously pointed and intended to embarrass Caine. He responded, I think this is word for word, "Well, I haven't actually seen the film, but I have seen the house it paid for and I quite like it."
I assure you, I'm the least sentimental person you're ever likely to meet. I don't even much like animals. And neither I nor any other reasonable educated person was unaware in general terms of the facts you lay out here.
I can't help but point out that trans fats were long seen as a healthier option than saturated fat; the received wisdom was that butter was poison and margarine was healthy. We see now how well that worked out.
You took the words out of my mouth.
Hope I don't get too ripped apart over this, but Soderbergh, imho, made a vastly superior film than the original film. I would even personally rate this one as one of the best scifi films of the past couple of decades. The first film, and now I'm really going to get some hate, suffer from the classic scifi flaw of…
No, you aren't.
And,
Wow. Oldie but a goodie. I'm not a Catholic, not that it's any of your or anyone's business. In point of fact, I'm not a Christian at all. And I have nothing but contempt for fundamentalists, be they Muslim, Christian, Atheist, or anything else.
Umm, is it just me, or are her nipples in an exceedingly strange position. I mean, obviously her breasts are augmented, but why are her nipples pointing upwards? There's something very wrong with the geometry.
Speaking of disastrous weapon procurements, can we say "F-35?"
I've always been somewhat confused about the criticism of this movie. Not in the sense that I liked it and disagree with the criticism, but that I can't reconcile the general criticisms with the movie I saw. Anyway, I'll never watch it again, so maybe my memory is inaccurate.
Sorry, let me clarify. My point isn't that I think it's somehow inappropriate or immature to love this movie, but that the attitude that such movies are for kids is inappropriate.
I'm a 43 year old man, and this is one of my favorite movies, period.
Wow. People sure are invested in arguing that women can't play baseball. Interesting.
Oh, one other thing. If Mr. Mod couldn't tell between his iPhone and DSLR - I'm not familiar with the model he was using - it was either because his camera was shit or his photos were shit. Sorry.
