It’s strange...I was just wondering earlier today, thanks to SR’s reboot video bringing all things SR to mind, how Mike was doing, and when the inevitable announcement would come, given his terminal diagnosis. I didn’t expect the answer to be “Today.” Now I am sad.

So incredibly, heartbreakingly sad...but, at least he spent his remaining time getting to do something he loved and was genuinely passionate about. That’s inspiring.

Godspeed, friend.

Well, I did not see that coming at all! I had actually just resolved myself to never playing again this afternoon. I still have trepidations on what will be announced at the beginning of September, their current track record is pretty crummy.

I’m not against criticizing, I’m against the insanity that causes folks who are mad at a game that didn’t warn them about threatening behavior to react by...threatening people.

I mean, it looks bad. You can make an argument that “It’s okay that it looks bad”, but I don’t think people are really thinking that it looks good.

Yeah, my take away here is that because a lot of people are over-reacting on twitter, the possibility to acknowledge that they are both over-reacting and have valid complaints at the same time has been shut down, and instead the argument has to be made that visuals don’t add to the experience at all?

Suffice to say I don’t agree with this particular take. There’s things to get excited about in this game, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t raise an eyebrow at odd choices or call out things in the trailer that don’t look good.

Yea, but why would we want to have a real conversation about the visual part of the medium when we can just circle jerk?

I have no dog (or whatever the closest Pokemon equivalent to a dog is, Growlith, maybe?) in this race, since I haven’t played a Pokemon game since Red/Blue, but I have to admit that when I think of a modern, 3D, open-world Pokemon game, I imagine varied biomes, and forests teaming with life. Savannahs and swamps and

Its really not that terrible, especially if you have game pass. Give it a try, its a few hours of fun.

The Ruroni Kenshin series of films is pretty decent.  Western versions?  I’d have to say Speed Racer and Alita: Battle Angel were okay too.  Blade of the Immortal maybe?

It’s a shame Kingdoms didn’t sell all that well. It was a really good game.

There’s just something odd about this fuss over the ship of a character whose very job is hunting, capturing and dragging off people against their will.

Disney is aware that slavery is a thin g in the SW universe, right? The word itself is not a bad word.

“Just live somewhere cheaper!” is almost always a bad take. He likes living in Los Angeles, and can afford to continue to do so. Good for him. He brought the criticism on himself with his years of red hot rhetoric, but that doesn’t make any of it reasonable.

Also, Bernie fucking shows up to a real job and votes on bills and advocates for policy. He’s got a resume and receipts. He’s allowed to indulge a little bit, IMO, because he’s still advocating for a specific social democracy vision. Plus he doesn’t put on stupid vintage campaign hats and make dumb whiteboi faces on

Not to mention that he both works out of his home and his family members live with him.

No there are 3 groups:

- normal people who think it’s nice he was able to buy a house in the city he lives in and understand how much money he makes because it’s been transparent the whole time.

- always online parasocial leftist weirdos who feel like they can dictate how and where he lives his life (he doesn’t know who

Unfortunate Spaceman is basically EVOLvE but one of the hunters is one the side of monsters. Interestingly enough, Spaceman's developers have cloned features from Among Us recently, and it made the game worse. (The voting screen? Added 2020 September)

There is inspiration and building on top of the design of other works. Then there is straight up copying a design into your engine with a much larger team to make the exact same game but more polished.
