I feel like Valve would have to manually review games (let’s be real, they won’t) if they did it that way. Seems too easy for some unscrupulous developers to abuse (flagging an achievement that triggers two minutes into the game, for example).

I agree. I feel like it’s disingenuous to paint all criticism of this particular decision and its implementation people being “entitled” or “trolling.” Personally, I feel like the decision to remove the scenes deadens the impact of the story, but that’s just me.
