Luck beats skill all day. But to be lucky you have to be in the right place at the right time with the needed skill to capitalize on your luck..

Because if effects the resale value of the car. If the brake lights stays on it might not pass inspection. Then it’s worth even less.

The ABS part is $2300 fyi. (5th/6th gen tdi) and the break all the time so why buy used. I do turn my own wrenches and there will be other things to replace during the install since the turbo has to come out to get to it....thus the added cost for almost no benefit.

I appreciate the clarification. I just thought Stability control was ABS+Traction Control....ABS was already required so.....

Where’s the evidence that back up cams are safer?

Where’s you data on that?

what about the cost to repair and maintain? Have you ever tried to chase a wire from the front to the back? They are a great option but no one has shown why they should be required on all new cars.

You mentioned braking, or eluded too it by asking if i could see the car in front of the car ahead of me, and traction control, so i assumed you were talking about ABS, I’m fine with ABS but my point was even with it you dont always stop faster.

Well all my air bags are defective so i might be better of with out them....traction control doesn’t help you stop...abs might...key word might...I think that’s half the problem with driver aids, people think they do more than they do and start to rely on them. I think they are fine for options but I don’t think they

you can unstar it, but i believe my first post says “new cars.”

No I think we should blame the drivers not the car and devices that make drivers lazy, or help them get by with less skill or knowledge is not the solution.

That’s great for you by why do you think you know whats best for me?

Does it though where’s you source? and how was the study paid for.

How many people has it saved? Coning of cars saves toddlers we know that maybe we should have to cone of our cars when we park? Is there no diminishing returns on safety? My thought is they break more lead to earlier car replacements which leads to more emissions in recycling and car manufacturing which leads to more

My point is just because you like something don’t force it on everyone else.

Back up cams are great options but they shouldn’t be required....Do you know why construction guys cone there cars? maybe we should all be required to do that so we don’t run off toddlers? It’s a dumb requirement that adds complexity and cost to maintaining a car. And if car can’t be maintained they get replaced more,

I said states could inspect them and it could become a problem. And what zacdee316 said.

We need to stop electing Nannies who think they know whats best for us.

they are a great option but they shouldn’t be required on cars like they are.
