The speed limit doesn’t really change the speed people drive on these desert roads. It just changes the $ amount on the ticket.

On this stretch, 90-100mps was normal even when it was 75mph....the speed of the people driving didn’t change, the warning to others that look out this is 80mph and you know that means 80+...It’s better to keep the speed limit closer to the speed people drive more as a warning to others. If the speed was 55mph on this…
The Data doesn’t support your Fears...Please do some research before you get all worried about nothing.
Yeah I think the idea is the speed limit should be representative of the flow of traffic so that people know ok fast lane is 80Mph+ it’s a safety factor to raise the limits to the actually speed people travel so you know what to expect in that area.
do you regularly drive this route?
Tickets but what about accidents, I’m sure enforcement also increased at the same time.
Maybe your truck shouldn’t drive on this road then? or if you do just stay with the semi’s. You could legal drive a model T on this road but no one would recommend it. And honestly, at that MPG you could take a bus and rent a car and save money.
Traffic was already going that fast, best to raise the limit to keep the flow of traffic moving and reduce incidents.
Are they making them all turn right?
We already can get the data after the fact why do we need this? This won’t prevent more deaths, this doesn’t help anyone.
I see the new Z4/5 where’s the Supra? maybe the Supra is Z4 based.
So you just here to keep us on the hook I see your tricks. :)
I’m sure you’re right....I’m just not about to keep a helmet on as I drive on the street the roll bar is pretty out of the way and the padding has saved my head with loading thing in the rear and unloading.....with a full cage the bars are much closer to your head....and they are a PITA on the street.
Roll bar with padding isn’t to bad on the street with no helmet....For the people in the rear seat well....that’s a bit of a different story....the harness i never understood why anyone would run one on the street.
It was announced years ago yet no one has seen one not in camo. It will probably only come with an automatic and will end up being call the Toyota Yawnirs.
I’d argue that satisfaction was only going up because of our expectation kept going down. Traveling by plane in America Sucks, and it’s about to Suck for everyone flying from Europe....It’s time to stop letting the terrorists....their goal is fear....i think they won.
The manual part is important to be not boring and not Nissan.
It will have a manual option (like one with a clutch pedal) then I assume if we are expected to be happy about it.
Just make sure you tell everyone you know Toyota is boring and will be so until this car is built and shipped....can’t let them get credit for just designing it....and we can’t let it get scrapped at last minute....we must keep pressure on Toyota!
Have you some insider information you’d like to share?...over the years there have been lots of “guarantees”.... if it comes will it be what we want or will it be Prius with a body kit?
