Why would anyone ditch the Mini Van, by far my favorite rental car of all times was a Chrysler town and country. That thing destroyed Escalades off the light and in the twisty roads. I bet the Town and Country is faster then most CUVs. I know it can tow more, Fit more Seat more......Hell a minivan is a vehicle with a

Don’t get me wrong I love my TDI, but even with a Stage 3 Turbo the 4th Gen Outback XT is still faster, and has much the same pull at 70 without down shifting. If you live at elevation like I do a turbo in everything helps. Also around town the TDI required more shifts than the outback but that’s really 5 speed vs 6

If you think SUVs look cool I guess. CUVs to me seem like something a person buys when they can’t afford the SUV they want.

If you voted for trump you’re more liberal than me. Trump is still giving out government handouts, he’s not free marketing or free trade. His current health care bill is still a hand out to the insurance companies and hospitals.Really he’s just as bad as Hillary.....though he provides more humor for late night TV.

But still with an EV you don’t pay that cost everyone else does. Do you think other people should be subsidizing your life? Why do you think other people’s money should be spent to maintain your lifestyle? Remeber there’s not such thing as government money. It’s money taken from hard working Americans then

So it’s not a fair comparisons to a Tesla, How will you haul all the same stuff.

but that doesn’t have a 300 mile range.

But you do support them you support subsidized things. We vote with every dollar we spent not just every 4 years.

The government didn’t give people a tax break to get the internet and yet look how popular it is....EVs can’t even take off with Tax benefits ....it’s early tech and tax payers shouldn’t be subsidizing it.

Never said we couldn’t use both just saying we can’t support an electric highway with our current infrastructure and the issue with that is EV get tax breaks and don’t pay road taxes so they are effectively making the problem worst by not providing funding for the fixes they need to be successful. We need to get teh

No i’m saying we should let it get before we force it to main stream... and not use Tax Payers money to fund cars for a few.

No your truck was not $100k even with adjusted inflation sorry.

At what cost? Are you driving a new model range rover now? Is the Model S with that extra range even close to the same price range as your current vehicle?

And it shouldn’t be whats your point?

Yes but the government didn’t give you thousands of dollars of tax breaks to buy a new flat screen, or new smart phone. People who could afford the new tech bought it and adoption happened.

Well, So why do you like EVs? they range is less, The weight more, handle worst, they aren’t better for the environment, the require tax payers money to even get sold, and they take longer to recharge/refill. I don’t see any benefits.

Well it should be raised but even so EV’s pay less of it still. My point here is EVs are subsidized by the government. They don’t pay road taxes and their owners get tax breaks. So really they can’t support themselves. The tech needs to be better for mass adoption.

Coal can’t support the switch to an electric Highway...we don’t have enough mines in America. Just go look up the equivalent kwh per barrel of oil, then look how much oil we use.....We need Nuclear power.
