It’s finally starting to snow around here and it’s like everyone forgot how to drive. We don’t use salt and barely use sand around here so snow tires are a must, but even people who can afford a Tesla Model X can’t afford the common sense of Phish: “The tires are the things on your car that make contact with the…
The factory rims really do fit over the wilwoods!!! I wasn’t sure at first the clearance is slim but it’s enough.
This is what happens when people try to fix problems with regulations.
So after showing a Jeep Rubicon how to rally over snow banks, I found my factory exhaust snapped and hanging.....the only solution was, of course, a full exhaust upgrade. After which the car sounds great...but on the first road trip the 80dB+ drone at 100hz was killing my wife and I. She puts up with all my loud…
Net Neutrality is a great idea, but Title 2 is the worst idea.

My wife and I are getting ready to start a European road trip from Paris to Stuttgart to Geneva to Florance. We have a day to drive to each city and a day or two at each. Except for Florance where we are ditching the car and letting others drive us if we need to be driven.
I can pick Automatic or Manual.....finally, a rental car that will keep my left leg from slamming onto those stupid extra wide brake pedals.....do people who drive automatics also only use large button phones and calculators?
No markings other than hidden red and blue lights, no plates, no stickers, and the cops weren’t in uniform. Also the car in Front has CA plates and this is in Nevada, it also has no official markings and a set of family stickers on it.
Just got around to getting summer tires and wheels for the outback, normally I use gold rims for winter tires...but these looked too good not to put them on now.
I would post pics but I don’t want to look at it long enough to take them.....This weekend we had friends staying at our place, and i was working on building some new speakers in the garage so I had the STi parked under my deck. One of our friends put is pint glass (full of homebrew) on the railing of the deck right…
Well I’m 100% sure I have a mouse problem...saw little droppings in the interior, then found one hiding in the wheel chocks that were on the floor in the rear. I’m going to vacuum the whole car in a minute. But what should i wipe the interior down with? I’m thinking some mix of bleach and water.
“West of tahoma past miller lake a jeep broke and was left in december To go get parts. Then the monster snows arrived. They found it today. When we read about donner deep snow, this illustrates it is really possible...”
I’m glad I spent the time to keep the snow off my cars not in the garage this year, now that the snow is starting to melt around town the lost cars are starting to appear.....and they are a little worst for the wear.
A weekend project for the Outback soon....if the brackets come into mount them.
Not sure how anyone does this, I mean he must have started to climb the rock then though oh I got this......maybe his other car is a Rubicon.
This happens alot around here and people debate what’s best-locked door or unlocked door. I’m in the unlocked door camp I’ve seen my neighbors car doors peeled back like sardine cans because they locked their doors, but I’ve also had neighbors where the bear got into their car and the door shut behind them....turns…
I had a chance to enjoy driving around the Jetta this week before the next set of storms came in. After been fully buried the only issue was a dead battery and a bit of condensation on the glass in the car. Forgot how much I like to drive this car. Driving it this week made me think about not turning it into VW. It’s…
And always clear it off between storms because eventually they have to widen the streets and this snow blower is way bigger then your car.
After clearing most of the deck at lunch, got started on the Jetta after work. Now I’m starting to feel ready for the next storm....later today but it’s been downgraded to under a foot.
