Michigan has the highest semi trailer weight limits in the USA, at over double the Federal limits. Combine that with road projects going to the lowest bidders and not scheduled until things are in pieces, and you have Michigan roads!

Dirt roads have their uses but they are limited to very rural areas and roads not heavily trafficked.

Yup...lived here all my life...absolutely terrible. The roads in Windsor right after the tunnel were pretty bad, but still, not as horrible.

Somewhere along the way the term ‘luxury’ got confused with ‘expensive’.

The dirt road are better crowd are the vote red until dead crowd.

Neutral: rental companies actually can make money. Apps and hailing companies are jsut vaporware burning through VC money by the billions in the hopes that they will put everyone else out of business and make their money via monopoly on the back end.

We’ve turned the whole state into a suspension proving ground. You’re welcome America. If it can survive Michigan roads, it can survive all the roads.

I’ve visited detroit a few times now due to family situation. The northern suburbs are the most automobile-focussed I’ve ever seen. Huge grid structure with 45mph (so 50-60mph) “stroads” that hem in these large 5 mile x 5mile developments.

You can’t get out of those developments without a car. You drive to the stroad

I live in Nashville and some of the roads would be better off as dirt. the people that scream about taxes going up just need to go away and let the rest of us try to repair things.

Every time I drive through Michigan I wonder how people ride motorcycles in a state that has ankle-deep potholes and slits on the interstates. Imagine having your tires stuck in a 10-in deep slit while going 60mph down the road.

And that’s just where there are roads. It’s insane how you can be driving through the suburbs in SE Michigan and it just turns to dirt. Not in a rural area, but actual suburbs with people living there. And then there’s the residential roads just not getting plowed because there’s, like, 4 plows for all of Washtenaw

My FIL had a ‘69 Camaro with the hideaway headlights when I started dating his daughter. He let us take it out on date night one night; after dinner I couldn’t get the little doors to open. I ring him up and he about dies laughing and says, “It’s an old car, just drive with the doors closed! Some light still shines

Does it actually run? I’ve seen some damn cool running miniatures and it would be even cooler if this actually ran.

This is what ultimately worries me about Rivian as a company that sells its own passenger vehicles.

I feel bad for Ferrari, they suck so bad. LeClerc is a good driver for pushing that log around the track. Hope they get better as a team.

The engine wasn’t illegal. The FIA had to release a technical directive and change the fuel flow measuring to stop Ferrari from what doing what they were doing. If you go strictly by the wording of the 2019 rules, the engine was legal, even if it violated the intent of the rules.

Let’s speculate the difference in the engine package from 2019 to 2020 tho. They were doing something. And as usual the FIA protected Ferrari by sealing the file and presumably tossing it in the nearest incinerator.

Holy shit Jean-Marie Balestre lives!

Maybe next time, we don’t put links to this morons Twitter, giving him even more views, and thus, inspiring him to do it more in the future? The biggest insult you could inflict on a loser like this would’ve been to ignore him.
