Ooof, I dunno. I think the current trend is more a product of people buying cars more like appliances now and not much caring for the car as a reflection of themselves and their personality, as opposed to monochrome just being the most popular.

It truly is one of those cars that always deserves to be in skittles colors.

The show was weirdly popular with suburban white folk around me growing up. Actually, the girl I had a huge crush on in middle school liked it so I tried watching it myself because somehow I thought that would help my chances (lol).

I’ve always been able to tell the Gen I and Gen II apart because even in internet photos, you can tell the Gen I looks like it was made out of little tykes materials. The Gen II at least had to be seen in person to realize what a cheaply made death machine it was.

I’m gonna beat it till the white meat shows”

lol, regardless of implication, I really like the look.

it pisses me off this asshole drives a car that looks that cool.

EXCUSE ME SUH, I BELIEVE THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH THE LIFE  LEFT IN THIS PIANUH

Also, any story you heard regarding cocaine and that film John Belushi is true.”

This scene was perfect too because Matt Murphy was clearly such a terrible actor. Him pretending to figure out who was ordering the toast and fried chickens as Aretha told him will always make me die of laughter.

Are you kidding? It’s one of my all time favorites! But at that point of my first viewing I genuinely had no idea if the bridge being shown at a bunch of different angles as they drove towards it was meant to be a deliberate punchline, or just a movie from the 80's being a movie from the 80's.

Oh no I absolutely love it. It’s arguably my favorite of all time.

I remember my dad showing me this movie when I was like 12 and asking him during this scene: “Were all the movies in the 80's like this, or was this one extra dumb on purpose?

I really wish I could have seen what the context of approving these programs was at the big manufacturers. I like to imagine they were really lost on how to appeal to younger generations, and some consultancy suckered them into thinking:

That should be it’s primary purpose, FFS. And it probably helps that it’s primary competitor looks like a Trout f*cked a vacuum cleaner.

100% agree on both counts. I’ve got a bad feeling that little forehead thing on the grille is gonna look worse in person, but i still prefer something more on the side of vanilla than weirdly aggressive.

It looks kinda like the generic Grand Theft Auto verison of itself, which I think is nice. I’m at the point where I really like any car design that isn’t in your face aggressive on a car that has no business being so (looking at you, Corolla and Camry).

I was with you for the longest time but finally caved a couple year ago when Spotify premium was on sale for the cheap. Don’t really regret it since I basically do the same thing I did when I had Itunes; keep on adding to a giant “purchased” playlist of songs that are new/new to me that I normally listen to the most

This is a hill I regularly find myself dying on. Most CUV’s are closer to cars than they are to SUV’s. Most manufactures only bother to raise the ride height a few inches from whatever car it shares a platform with. They may be taller but are still significantly bottom-heavy as opposed to traditional BOF SUV’s and

Good point, if you watch closely you can really see the kick from LR tire.
