I *think* by using a guy who won, his team’s charter went from “open” to “locked”. This system gives you great profit margins for being a back-of-the-pack team, so getting a free spot in Daytona of all races where the purses are so bloated was just a damn steal.

It was a guaranteed entry. Everyone was actually extremely pissed because he made it instead of some kids on small teams.

Further damage was done when they turned it into the Jimmie Cup with the stupid Chase. Your favorite driver could win 35 of 36 races but if they don’t win the last one they lose the championship. Consistency is no longer rewarded. You win one race and finish in the top half of the points and you have a shot at the end

Yeah, everyone I know off today is bankers and schoolteachers.

This is another one of those dumbass holidays every immediate member my family gets off because I’m the only one who doesn’t work for either a school or a bank.

The commentariat can be a bit quick to jump on an a post for being obvious, but this is egregious.

Yeah, that is one of those “how to get robbed” listings.

This is a extremely long way of promising infrastructure improvements and not doing them is business as usual for Presidential candidates and winners. The fact that the blogger claimed to be “amazed” by this is rock stupid.

1st: Not trying to defend Dolt 45, but infrastructure rehab being a complete farce was probably the most normal thing about his presidency.

It is absolute comedy that as people literally cannot buy this looney machine fast enough, Cadillac dealers would rather take severance packages than try and sell a lineup of EV’s. We can jerk off about “the future” all we want but I think as long as FCA can sell stuff like this, they will, and will remain profitable.

You’re goddam right

Chevrolet doesn’t talk much about the current Camaro generation”

1st: I can’t shake this sensation that what if what we all think is wrong with Dodge & Chrysler (ancient models, no EV’s, general redundancy) is actually going to kill them, it would have done it by now. If the ancient models have not fallen off the face of the earth yet, they probably won’t. Being late to the EV

That might be true for the entire 1500 lineup. But the percentage that buy the plastic trimmed model? That might be significant.

This commercial is a cultural artifact nearly on the scale that the Kardashian sister breaking up a race riot by giving someone a Pepsi.

it’s not a jeep and it isn’t overwhelmed by rust

Yeah, but I would rather not have it be exclusive to only the people with that kind of money. It would stink of only Ferrari and, Porsche, etc. made it while the Mustang, Corvette, etc. didn’t.

I think we are referring to the James May bit where he says the EV (or maybe it was hydrogen at the time) could be the best thing for the enthusiast ICE the same way the automobile was the best thing to happen to the horse.
