Different strokes for different folks I guess. The scroll function on the steering wheel is my preferred. At least it would be if I didn’t need to cycle every source to go from FM2 to FM1.

Ooof, hard disagree. The main reason I don’t listen to the radio anymore (i pretty much just use carplay) is because SYNC3 locks you into 6 station presets to scroll through in one band. My dad’s Chevy just gives you a big list to scroll through to your heart’s desire. Just an incredibly simple thing they whiffed

It is indeed a lovely place with many good microbreweries, I just had to spend four years convincing them that nobody outside of the Midwest has heard of it. I was extremely validated when we went on a spring break trip to Miami and the inevitable conversation happened in a bar:

Yeah, that way you could play galaga on the windshield projector.

Nah, Little Caesars is fine, super cheap pizza”

she could not have written anything at all in the body portion and this discourse would not have been effected at all

Surprised at how far I had to scroll down for the obligatory shot at Chicago pizza, which is good despite actually being lasagna.

Apparently “Pizza Today” magazine agrees with you.

They lead off the blog with claiming (x) Pizza is the superior pizza. This was the only outcome, even if it wasn’t Detroit style.

There absolutely is still a market for retail sim racing, especially in a post-outbreak world. Just being able to plug and play something that handles realistically is still a huge draw. A console, Logitech wheel, and something like Gran Turismo still has huge appeal.

There was a really good piece somewhere else about how this is them pretty much being out of ideas and needing to appear “innovative” until battery tech gets more affordable and charging infrastructure is more widespread. This is how they fill the in between days.

look around in a parking lot. there are an awful lot of V8 powered trucks.

This is the thing he conveniently left out of the screed. Giving a truck enough batteries to get through a day’s worth of driving without stopping to recharge is going to take big ole chunks out of the GVWR. Navistar may not be run by rocket scientists, but you only need to be about as sharp as playskool scissors to

well yeah that went without saying lmao

holy fuck, dude

*squirms* agree with your basic principle here, but the WHO has regularly proven itself to be colossally full of shit. Politicians make the calls in that org, not experts.

Been dying on this hill for awhile. While full electric might be the future for consumer/commuter grade cars, long haul industrial (and even stuff like three axle box trucks) can’t afford to sacrifice big chunks of their GVWR to the amount of batteries necessary to get decent range. The endgame 50 years from now very

If it flies we are trying to remove the pilot.”

Yeah, if anything it’s kinda funny they are suckering people into thinking that they can watch Netflix while their car drives itself when in reality it only works with the car in park.
