At this point I really don’t believe this to be the issue...There are plenty of people who want to be a juror but with the way the system is, you can easily become “unqualified” because of race, sex, reglion, etc...

I think you are being a bit naive...There have been several instances throughout our nation’s history (hell even now) where an all white, all male jury have condemned plenty of not guilty minorities and women to death because they could. Mixed juries are in essence a form of checks and balances but as mentioned above…
