Ten Chances has to be the most winnable game on TPIR if you know that the prices all end with 5 or 0 and you're not numerically challenged. I become visibly agitated when someone can't seem to grasp the concept of that game.

Gotta include Teti's (now intermittent) Six Feet Under reviews on that list.
I'm shocked this is the first comment I've seen about Dana (and that the performance wasn't discussed in the review), because I thought Julia Duffy absolutely killed it in this episode. I've loved her since Newhart and have always wondered if she has more range than "rich, spoiled WASP." But damn if she doesn't knock…
I concur with the DHP adoration, but good God is his character irritating.
I HATED "Dinner Party" on first viewing and thought the AV Club's "A" grade had to be a joke or mistake.
I've grown to at least appreciate it on repeat viewings, but I still wouldn't include it in even my top 50% of episodes. Virtually any Season 2 or 3 episode is better, IMHO.
Before this season, I was not familiar at all with the actress who plays the Ambassador, and now I want her to be in EVERYTHING. What a face; what a presence.
FYI: It's even better if you read it in Will Ferrell's James Lipton voice.
^^^ CAUTION: MISPLACED MAJOR SPOILERS ABOVE.
Oh yeah, forgot about that one. That was after David took the bus home from Keith's family funeral, right?
I got 221 with MONETIZE a few weeks ago. It was my first-ever 9x word score and I was embarrassingly excited about it.
Heh, "the point of this season." That's cute.
I don't think we've quite arrived at the point where the story is truly dated, but I see where you're coming from.
I think you're right about David and Keith. The business with the rentboy in Vegas was when they were broken up; same with square-dance guy. I can't remember any other on-the-side action for either of them in Seasons 1 through 3.
OK, I'll ask the $64,000 question: Was that one scene worth the rest of the excruciating plot that led to it?
SINGS that poem.
So did anybody else not even register that "Phil Hoffman" was "Philip Seymour Hoffman"? It didn't dawn on me in the least until Todd mentioned it in the review.
Gotta say, I'm…mostly on your side here. It's sort of the verbal equivalent of Ralphie and Scut Farkas.
I think you're onto something there. She pretty much has to remain POTUS for the remainder of the term, but if she loses the primaries and, thus, the nomination, she could still be the nominee's pick for his running-mate to increase the share of the female vote. And as you say, she could realize she hates being POTUS…
It's a real place, regrettably spelled "Dixville." The town opens its polls at midnight and takes great pride in being the first returns of every New Hampshire primary. Veep's headcount was true-to-life; maybe a dozen or so people live there. There's usually a mention or two of the Dixville Notch returns during…
Hmmm. I think it worked.
