I never would have thought of Big Little Lies in this discussion, but you're right. Ignoring some of the more sensational and horrifying parts of the story, there are a lot of funny, fascinating stories of these mothers.

Yeah, having seen it all, I'm not sure what purpose they served.

"Trip to Town" should be celebrated annually, with city parades and affordable heroin.

I do adore Scott, but he's got an entirely different vibe than Cooper (mind you, I've never watched Parks and Rec, so I got most of my Adam Scott from Party Down).

Trigger! Shit, knew I missed one.

There's something almost delightfully innocent about Bradley Cooper's version of Ben that I don't think Adam Scott really captures.

Safe space, snowflake, libtard, and so on. All the classics.

Eh. She wasn't pretending to be a hero.

Holy shit, dude.

Holy shit, you're fucking mental.

In a video for the NRA, Dana Loesch makes threats to the NY Times, possibly suggests the NRA "fist" the newspaper. Odd.

Like I said, it works in-universe, but I don't believe anyone would build a statue to commemorate a city destroyer.

Spoiler alert - they never really justified doing Ragman and Nu-Canary.

Instead of Lovecraftian monsters, it's visions of dead people and people's worst fears. It sorta sucks.

None of these characters were in the book, if that helps. The mist didn't do any of this shit in the novella. This only barely resembles King's work.

And it ended up weirdly moving by the end somehow?

This gay story is fucking bonkers. Yay for representation?

As both a huge fan of Stephen King and also a gay man, I'm disappointed with the very, very few gay characters King has written in his long career. And he's a lefty liberal, too. In eight books, the only gay character I can remember in the Dark Tower series is a Catholic priest, which…

Just ignoring how tasteless this looks, I can't fathom spending money on watching latter day Bruce Willis phone shit in.

This is why I love the extended version of The Stand so much. I just like spending time in his worlds.
