Assuming? There's a whole article right here that we're commenting on about it. What are you talking about?
There is no double standard. Name three black characters off the top of your head, and think about what their character is about; their motivations, their backstory, their circumstances, their voices/body language. Then change that character to white to see if it makes even half of sense.
As always, another great piece from Evan.
America has a fucking issue with race - it doesn't mean everyone around the world does.
The older you get, the less you're going to want to do things that serve absolutely no purpose except wasting what time you have left.
Who said it did? I'm talking about Miles.
Yeah, let me break down these points you're so eager to make:
It's not weak. Peter never had those kinds of complexities. Miles is thirteen. His mom dies at an age he's actually old enough to remember — which is comparable to Uncle Ben, only that it's his mom and he came out of her. And having family members with a criminal past — on top of already being brown, and what that…
Yay. Thanks for two (2) examples.

I find it demeaning that black people have to take on super heroes that are already established.
Will Smith—who somehow still looks like a 25-year-old
This is hilarious.
Still Destiny.
Disappointed 'cause by reading the title I was expecting an in-depth speculative article on the literal future video games.
Yeah, I'd say you're reading it wrong. In the interview he talks about how he does all those things "non-black" or whatever and still gets harrassed. So he's more like "it doesn't matter, I'm still black. So I want to be me and I want the young black kids to know they should be themselves too."
"Creepy" isn't the right descriptor for this. "Gloomy" or "melancholic" is a better word, and in contrast to what Los Santos actually is.
Let me grab you a bucket for your tears.
Here's your source.
