...I think you're confusing "nerd" with "geek." Which a lot of people do, really. I think he distinguished that fairly well when he goes into the bit about the kid and the constitution.

Yeah... you haven't watched AdvTime at all, clearly. The whole premise is dystopian/post-apocalyptic, and the writing is a lot heavier than you think.

It's really hard for me to read the comments when no one really has a firm grasp on business and it's models.

1.) you never OWNED the content anyway. I really wish people would understand that; just because you have the disc doesn't mean you own it, it's simply storage media. You've only bought the EULA that gives you permission to access the content. It's literally been that way forever, it's just that no one cares to read.

Once you understand that the Kinect is no longer an accessory (like it has been) and a part of the entire package, you'll get over it being $499 and them "forcing" this awesome technology into your living room so devs can make more cool shit.

Now I'm gonna take this post as clearly an opinion, and while I respect your right to do such, I just wanted to address one particular issue with video game journalism right now that has been brought to light with the Xbox One.

...is there any way I can get moderator privileges on TAY or something? I'd really love to break down this whole DRM, "oh no I can't buy used game!" stuff. 'Cause clearly no one understands software trade, and why buying used software is bad for the developers.

This needs to be shouted from the freakin' rooftops.

...I think it bares repeating, since no one gets this: intellectual property.

I think everyone needs a course in intellectual property as it pertains to software. Maybe then people will understand why this is going the way it is. I'm actually surprised it's gone on this long. Users of any copy of a game is practically x:1, when developers of these games are only expecting 1:1. That's how

A car isn't anything like a video game. A car is an asset; you continue to pour money into your car even after it's purchased. Therefore you, the consumer, have value in it.

By and large, video game consumers might be the worst kind of consumer ever.

If anything, this sounds like more of a push for digital content, and a move away from physical media.

...so he's a budding sociopath.

...won't we need Gundams first?

...I don't think I have the capacity to miss anything from the 1950s on account of my blackness.

This always comes to mind when these findings are brought up.

The tears.

"I don't like change!" - everyone about everything.

...thanks for this. I was about to lay it on that guy.
