Yeah, this was really gross and disrespectful.  I have nothing against fanfic; I read and write a ton of it, but RPS (real person slash) has always bothered me.  Even if it cost them a few “eyes”, the show should have made up a band.

Still, it was disrespectful to blindside these men by putting this out there without running it past them first. Especially when the point could have been easily made with fictional celebrities rather than using the names and likenesses of these two men. Judd, imo, went on to write some really good comics that had casts that featured gay, bisexual and varied characters who were non-white. For working fir a mainstream media company like DC, he did good job with inclusiveness.

Conservative humor is just plain bad when they try something other than punching down on minorities.

OT, but last fall, O’Malley came to an Atlanta campaign open house for Lucy McBath. Said that since he was out of office, he was spending all his time trying to get Democrats elected. Seemed like a good guy.

I think the tolerance (but probably a better word) of the left means toward inherent things such as race, national origin, sexuality, age, health concerns, etc., not with regard to people’s thoughts. Everyone should be intolerant toward odious ideas.
