The Lead/Supporting decision is supposed to come from the actor who is submits themselves for the Emmy (there are only rules, AFIK, on whether you can submit as a guest-star) but there’s usually strategizing going on by the producers on which actor has the best shot in which category to maximize the show’s

It retains the attention to detail, especially when it decides to do a cute interlude. I only can think of one mistake they made, and that was an early prop choice that was wrong for the time period (and if you’re not really into guns, it’ll pass you over).

I’ll be disappointed next year if TNT doesn’t get any love. Between Good Behavior, Animal Kingdom and Claws there’s a decent amount of Emmy bait. (And while I don’t expect Major Crimes to get an Emmy, it’s the only procedural I can watch.)

I’m liking this season but my husband hates every character who isn’t played by Carrie Coon or isn’t Winnie Lopez.

Depends on what you mean by ‘Breaking Bad good’. It is ‘Breaking Bad good’ in the sense that the story is very slow-paced and it makes very good use of telling the story in such detail. However, it’s not a finely-plotted show the way Breaking Bad was, every little bit of plot doesn’t total up to a big plot twist in

Katherine Heigl only proved she was a monster when she didn’t submit herself on the Emmy ballot.

So I have a friend who was telling me he doesn’t have celiac and isn’t “gluten sensitive” but he has some other disease that makes him very sick if he eats gluten. I wish I could remember what it was so I could research it more, but it’s less common than celiac and has small differences that means some of the

Oh, yikes, I tried eliminating FODMAPs from our diet at the recommendation of a co-worker of my husband, since they have similar digestive issues. That was incredibly tough and when his allergy tests said that FODMAPs weren’t the source of his digestive issues, it was such a relief. (On the bad side, we still don’t

Good point, the British docu-soap format would work well for that kind of show.

I belonged to a couple different evangelical church in the 80s, I remember so much paranoia about satanist conspiracies. They were out kidnapping kids, using day care centers to force other kids to murder babies in satanic rituals and were also using D&D to recruit. There were also adults being recruited with promises

I wish it were possible to do a compelling reality show about healthy weight loss, no big drama, maybe it could be like a hangout show that gave a Weight Watchers-type of community sentiment... or I guess maybe a weight loss themed panel talk show.

On the bright side, at least The Swan was one of those awful Fox reality shows that was a big hit in the first season and then in the second season viewers broke from the spell and moved on... unlike The Biggest Loser which people kept inexplicably watching, even when NBC expanded the show to keep people watching

BUT, there is a fan-made version using in-game footage of kills alongside the song. And people were postulating that the singer may have seen this video and mistakenly thought it was Bethesda’s trailer.

I grew up in the 80s and started calling all my teachers Ms when a friend pointed out it meant he didn’t have to memorize who was/wasn’t married in addition to their name (though if she expressed a preference for Miss/Mrs, I followed that) but I also remember when my first grade teacher taught us about Mr/Miss/Mrs and

Between Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and The Good Place, there seems to be room now for Filipino actors to play hot dummies.

I remember wishing that every time a Kotaku post was shared on Jezebel...

You know what I’d like to see more of? Interracial relationships in pop culture between two PoC. The only relationships like that I can think of is Emily and Maya on PLL and Abbie having a latino ex on Sleepy Hollow. I’d love to see a comedy based on Ali Wong’s marriage (and the ‘fancy Asian’ vs ‘jungle Asian’ bit it

I avoided that show for a few months just because I didn’t want to try accepting someone other than Tessa Thompson as Sam but the show is so good and so is Logan Browning as Sam. My only complaint about the show is that Joelle doesn’t get enough story.

Her Parks & Rec role made me realize I am going to have such a hard time watching her in a role that’s just one character. Then again, if I can accept Eileen Davidson as just Kristen DiMera....

I gave up Lost when I realized I was wasting too much time waiting for DDK and Yunjin Kim to get screen time and wasn’t enjoying the wait.
