Every skit would be Pete talking to the robots about the lizard brain.

Good thing they made sure they got those Kickstarter $$$ first. Pete Holmes would be an upgrade.

Define 'deftly'.

In my mind, WFTSC and Lost Sirens probably have a half-dozen or so keepers between them. However, its existence probably ensures Jetstream will be on every New Order compilation to come. Maybe it was better off never being recorded.

"Nothing But a Fool" is fucking phenomenal. Everything else ranges from decent to great. No Jetstreams or Working Overtimes to be found on this thing. The words still read like the rhyming dictionary is Sumner's only lyrical muse, but that's half the appeal of the band at this point honestly.

I think Destroyer's version of Leave Me Alone is pretty great.

There's gotta be a Depeche Mode album better than any Erasure album before we start talking about them being superior to New Order.

Everyone is probably aware, but Belle & Sebastian's "Electronic Renaissance" is basically built on-top of "Procession".

I probably like the version from the Taras Shevchenko DVD the best. Studio recordings though, the one from the 1981-82 EP.

I want to know how the fuck "Vanishing Point" wasn't the lead-off single. That would've done gangbusters.

I re-watched a few episodes of Sesame Street recently and it was a lot fucking lamer than I remembered it being. Way too episodic, characterization is all over the place, and they sandwich in celebrity guests in a really artificial manner. Too much good tv in our 'golden age' to pay this program much more mind.

I'll take Noel Gallagher for soundbites. It's been about 20 years since Morrissey delivered intentionally funny soundbites. I listened to his autobiography right before listening to Alan Partridge's, and it was uncanny how similar the writing was.

These guys must have been Working Overtime to get this thing out in only 10 years.

Excited for this. Basically like everything New Order have done, including the latter period stuff where Bernard inserts some variation of "what you doing?" into the lyrics of every song. Though I draw the line at Jetstream, that is truly an abomination.

Yep, that would make it pretty hard for Kaguya to earn the 2014 Oscar.

I'd be totally with you if we were talking Princess Kaguya, SpaceCop. Thought The Wind Rises was beautiful garbage, for a movie that was supposed to be semi-autobiographical, the central romance (particularly the love interest's behavior and actions throughout) strained all credibility for me. Princess Kaguya should

I saw him at a casino in Reno circa Irish Blood, English Heart and he was great. Saw him again at Coachella a few years later where he spent most of the set dry-heaving. It's a toss-up.

That Reddit AMA he did was sure one big circle-jerk of CBB references and unanswered questions about his falling out with Scharpling.

I recently watched the English-language version of My Neighbor The Yamadas. Between Jim Belushi being cast as the patriarch and all the cliched comedy about how crazy families are, it felt a lot like an episode of According to Jim.
