As a lifelong southerner, I am okay with this.

"Busch was the good guy because his immigration was legal!"

"The natives were evicted from the DAPL site after Trump sent in the national guard."

Kinds of articulations of hope and optimism, perhaps. But if those were solely the province of white privilege, the general African American faith in education for uplift would not be present for example.

Interesting that you put "we" in quotes. I assume "we" refers to different groups working under a particular umbrella of progress. What kind of groups did you have in mind? Identity? Ideological? Institutional?

Is this another articulation of "when a threat comes, see an opportunity" or something else?

You know, Nameless Miller, since I have you here, instead of throwing points around like "the script" of an Internet forum calls for, what's your 100 steps? Even after Trump, what kind of world do you see in 2036?

More 100 steps forward, 99 steps back. With some steps further than others.

What got me about Chappelle's bit was that he wished Trump well and said (I might be paraphrasing) that he hopes he does a good job. I like you. You've got spunk.

All music made after December 31, 1969 will be TOSSED. I'm warning you, with peace and love.

Ives had enough of these Verdi bad jokes. If I wanted comedy, I'd watch Debussy Fields.
