That's still no reason to be an ass, especially over something that is largely beyond their control. What is yelling like a moron at a CSR going to accomplish that a polite conversation can't?

and this is why I maintain that EVERYONE should be 100% required to work some sort of customer service/retail position for at least two years before being eligible for any other type of work. No one that has actually been on the other end of the conversation would ever act like such a whiny spoiled child.

As a software CSR who just had a really really long Monday, I thank you.

I never will understand why people are assholes to customer service/support. Your problem is literally not their fault. It has almost nothing to do with them outside of what little help/comfort they can give you.

This is exactly why I was getting mad at gamers during this whole DDoS attack against Sony and Microsoft. Yes, it sucked to not play games online for a couple days, but for crying out loud, it's such a first-world problem. We complained about "our holidays" being ruined or messed up, but we had no problem not thinking

From someone I spoke to about this video, that's pretty much exactly what he was thinking.

I assume Turner was still thinking nuclear Armageddon here, so you'd play this when the incoming Soviet/Chinese missiles were 1 minute from impact, and all across America you'd be snuggled up with your loved ones on the couch waiting for the final crescendo to follow the end of that song.

I wonder how many people actually remember that TV stations used to play the national anthem at the end of their broadcast day.

nah he's busy hanging out somewhere else

I briefly thought I'd forgotten how to read.

Tom Osborne is also well aware of the risk of going for 2 in a Bowl game.

Hopefully the coach will be a little more specific in the future when he calls for the runs.

If you cannot see how this is a joke using PTSD as the punchline, perhaps that's why it seems we're coming from completely different universes on this issue.

As you said yourself, "if it doesn't impact me, I don't give a fuck."

"If one thing is off limits everything is off limits."

Generalizing that offensive jokes happen to multiple groups doesn't make any of them any less hurtful to the groups they effect. I am going to leave now, before I get myself banned from commenting here.

Soggy blanket? I am sorry that you think PTSD is such a light matter. I am not trying to be snarky here, I wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy and am sorry that you don't understand why this is a big deal. If you want a better look into the many ways it ruins lifes, and why it is so negative to make light of it, look

Yeah, as someone with PTSD, this poor taste joke pulled me out of lurking. This is a giant slap in the face to anyone who has had their life ruined by PTSD for a cheap laugh. Worse yet, making light of a serious but unseen condition is undermining efforts currently underway to try and help people understand how

Surfing (and i mean skillsurfing: completing difficult maps with good time) was always a thing in the CS series, there's quite a few of skillsurfing servers both in CS:GO and CSS and CS1.6 it's allmost basicly a community on it's own within the game :)
