If you’re talking chocolate bars, you gotta give a shout out to Trader Joe’s Pound Plus Belgian chocolate bars. This holiday season they are carrying Four Pound Plus bars for $14.99. I got two explicitly for bark purposes. Definitely making this peanut butter stuffed pretzel bark.

This morning I applied my spf moisturizer onto my eyelids. It took all of 30 minutes before my eyes burned and watered as the sunscreen ran into them. Would not recommend.

As a guest, I hate using a toilet that visibly has not been cleaned in a long time (the ring, anyone?). So gross.

This makes a lot of sense! Like dissolves like, and then the fresh oil isn’t all baked on.

You got me, I have probably never put sunscreen on my eyelids. I was curious, though, and according to the American Cancer Society, sunglasses that block UVA and UVB rays do protect your eyes. Hats are another protective option.

Go to the library and pick up some impulse loans. Really itches that “shopping/spend money” spot for me. I especially love borrowing new cookbook releases, but others may prefer magazines, movies, books, etc.

I stopped at a vineyard this weekend that offered dark chocolate dipped dehydrated apples with their wine tasting. I don’t usually pair apple and chocolate but I was blown away by how delicious these were. Since I’m the proud owner of a dehydrator I am going to try and recreate those gems.

Do you buy the fancy salt? I bought a box of Maldon back in 2010 when salted caramel and salted chocolate chip cookies were all the rage. $8 salt a HUGE splurge (I think I was making $12/hr as a new college grad). I’m still working my way through that box.

At holiday dinners on my husband’s side, they get a small bag of salad mix for 15 people. I eat half of it and there is still salad leftover after dinner. What can I say-it’s the Midwest.

  • What’s your favorite canned bean? As a vegetarian, canned beans are a staple in my house! Black beans, great northern beans, chickpeas, and refried beans all make daily appearances. I love the Rosarita green chile refried beans, which are veg.

I love Better than Bouillon base for stock. I make soup every week for lunch so I’m pretty utilitarian about the stock.

Ok, so instead of “obsessing” over calories I will obsess over my macros. Got it.

Call their phone number for credit freezes. Takes 5 minutes and it’s an automated system.

I used to do a cold water start but for some reason it just didn’t work when we moved from sea level to Denver. Now your stovetop method is what I do, including the egg that cracks every time and my dog that gets to eat it.

I’ve been making my grocery lists like this for years. Essentially:

Hold on, sending this to every single male I know.

My friends all should have their grills confiscated from them after what I’ve seen them do to a chicken breast. And for chrissake, use a meat thermometer!

This sounds like a bad situation. Honest question: what relationship should the executor have to you then?

Produce: green onions, cilantro, limes, red cabbage (because it lasts for-ev-er)
Condiments: Brown mustard for sandwiches, dijon for vinaigrette, chili garlic sauce, Sriracha
Etc: a can of chipotles in adobo sauce, vegetable better than bouillon, bread (we’re weird), Coke Zero
