My Ford dealer told me a good half of the F150s they sell are custom orders.  They have green window stickers as opposed to the blue stickers for stock models.  With the number of configurations on these trucks, it’s no surprise.

I factory ordered an F150 in January with an ETA of mid-March. I returned my lease and now have no car and no idea when my truck will get here, maybe late April, maybe early July. Neither me nor my salesperson expected the shortage to impact the biggest seller in North America, and here we are.

I also like this particular one. The gear display is clearly highlighted (and changes size), and overall it’s super clear and functional. I test drove one extensively and liked it overall so much I ordered one.

I think copying traditional gauges on a screen looks cheap, but trying to reinvent it to be simpler/different has potential. I love what Ford did with its F-150 gauges, for example:

Sync 4 is in the Mach E, Bronco and 2021 F-150 only. Test drove an F-150 and Sync 4 was excellent. I have an F-150 on order, I’ll update this if it turns out to be shit.
