I thought everything in the woods was more obviously contrived than usual. Not only the death of the girl, but especially how their pursuers just gave up after investing so much time, effort, and lives hunting for them. Did not seem credible at all to me.

Unresolved isn't always bad — that's where your own imagination takes over…

You have to remember, this is still very much a kid's show at heart, especially the ones that mine horror out of everyday things — classic Doctor Who storytelling — and I doubt the kids are jaded enough yet to worry too much about cliches.

I know we're supposed to suspend disbelief that a rebel convoy would need to break through a blockade line of five big and slow ships head on when they could simply go around, but it's damned difficult sometimes.

Have you been living under a rock? Threats of violence, doxxing and swatting are a lot more serious than taunting someone in a video game.

Probably a little too on the nose after his stint on P&R.

A show's quality is not always the best predictor for its ratings (to say the least). Ratings are down by about a million per episode over last year, but given the fragmentation of TV viewership over the last 10 years, it's holding up pretty well overall.

“I’m over 2,000 years old. I’m old enough to be your messiah!”

Prompted a revisionist jingoistic wall of text cut and pasted from a Dinesh D'Souza book/movie? Hmm…

"Better Call Saul"

One day, someone will have to ask Stephen Colbert:

Not the kind of show or time slot to worry about dialectic words — might confuse the natives. Also, given the rate at people keep showing up — probably not the last Aussie on Earth.

Yep, still one of the better shows on TV at the moment.

Yeah, me too. But then, I'm a Doctor Who baby. I was three months old when the very first episode aired on the BBC. (And stoked to have one final actor playing Doctor Who who is actually older than me!)

I'm guessing this is part of the Star Wars lore? Given that Palpatine controlled the separatists through Count Dooku, how did they lose all that technology? Still seems a little careless :)

Um, if you're reading it, then you're the one holding your mouth open…

That, and the decision to not just blast them to kingdom come from orbit. Mind you, you could say the same thing about almost all the ground-based assaults in Star Wars.

Now you're just making me feel old!

Could the stormtroopers (the younger ones on the side of the Empire) possibly be worse shots? I mean, how hard is it to line up the laser weapon of a tie fighter or AT-AT with a massive target that's barely moving?

I was watching it on my computer and for a moment I thought a rogue browser tab had started playing it!
