@Gerk: Under warranty? No seals broken? I'd just have them fix it - something clearly broke there.

Neat idea. Also, wow - the new controls for Street View are bizarre!
@Andrew Falkenhan: Everything's limited by its max performance. All I've seen on the 3DS so far looks a bit less detailed than PSP graphics, with nicer shaders in some instances. I was just comparing it to the NGP, and would be amazed if it came out on top for graphical detail, level detail, or computational power.
@narutogameking: I read the article, but it's likely that textures are not loaded straight off the disc into video RAM, so while it may display a single scene well, less system RAM could also necessitate compressing or lowering detail of level textures, or adding more frequent pauses for loading. In any case, it would…
@rocka-: No, that's why I said promo art. With some wishful thinking, maybe they're trying not to TOTALLY give it away.
@Pawper: There are a lot of factors at play. Some Western games do quite well there, like the GTA or Crash Bandicoot series. One of the fundamental differences I've noticed in the typical gamer's taste: in the West, we tend to have blank slate protagonists who have a minimal scaffold of self for the player to project…
@DatBoyFresh: Actually, the real proof will be when they show the final product, especially since this is a rumor, but they have set a bad precedent for doing just this, so I'm frustrated by the loss of potential.
@MAIcrosoft: My god... It makes no sense, but I want one so bad!
@Djembe Hero: Madara or "Nyanko-sensei" from Natsume Yuujin cho, or "Natsume's Book of Friends."
Dammit... Ever since the PS2, Sony's insistence on neutering the RAM - typically video RAM - has hobbled their systems and made them far less competetive than they could be. I was hoping they'd get it right some day.
I'm hoping it's just a lackluster promo art for Journey!
Good... More shocking if that weren't the case! Hopefully its funding has not been affected much by the endless hackathon they're trying to stave off.
None. I sold an import fighting game of Fist of the North Star for GameBoy, and Super Monkey Ball for Wii, both because they were insufferably bad. Otherwise, I keep my games. :)
@13CandyRainbowSuicideMachine: Once in a while a firmware update will have glitches that may not work with some models, but it's rare. Usually it seems if something happens, and a system has a general failure, people assume that the change caused it - like when a new Halo game comes out and "kills" a bunch of 360s…
@RandomContent: At the same time no less... I could probably buy the top 5 cars I want and a nice house with a garage to store them for that.
@VicariousShaner: Meh. The game looks more silly than pervy to me anyway. I want to try it and see how good the Akihabara environment is for one thing. Besides, one game isn't going to prove it's all anything. That's like saying America is all gory FPS games because a game like No One Lives Forever comes out, haha
@Pawper: I think it's more about being in first person, and being on PC. There is a niche for FP POV, but I bet you it'd sell 4x as much on a handheld.
Great pic. I love the addition of the Duck Hunt dog...
@KefkaticFanatic: I can't recall the last time an unruly mob of video gamers rioted and laid waste to a downtown area, and yet the suspicion and blame keep being pointed at video games...
@Cleesox: haha... hilarious! Thanks
