I used to call myself the oldest young person ever, but holy shit Pete stole that crown.

You seem really invested in holding on to your opinions on Mello despite actual opinions of women and people of color in Omaha. I’m blaming some white women because the shitty mayor of Omaha actually is a white woman (who is a forced birther! and pulls up the pavement in poor neighborhoods!)

What candidate are you even referring to? And I do hold men accountable, but oddly, on Jezebel there are a lot fewer.

You know, even if the essay were what BeetsandBrussels was attempting to make it out to be, that was almost 50 years ago. It’s not as if he’s been ghostwriting Gor since then.

Literal pro-choice activist groups endorsed that candidate too. Like, actual women on the ground in Omaha working for reproductive rights, endorsed him.

- They did hear testimony from people who were witnesses to the call. All the eviidence and the witness statements are why he’s being impeached.

The same world where he can block the president doing his job for six years and no one bats an eye.

Using guns to kill animals is always a cowards bargain. You risk nothing, and the animal has no real chance to defend itself or fight back.

There aren’t enough bad things to cover all the bad things that should happen to McConnell.

Meanwhile on Fox News...Mitch McConnell is on Hannity saying shit shit like this...

Our cautionary tale is Hillary Clinton; John Kerry; Al Gore; and Michael Dukakis.  Bland middling milquetoast democrats who lost.

Do I understand that Megan McCain (who, I just found out today, is John McCain’s daughter....she should bring that up more often!) agreed that it is not appropriate to base policy on religious beliefs?

I wonder if they’ve ever considered that maybe people just don’t find them funny

Then Dave Chapelle should make his point clear or be funny

Bullshit. Dave doesn’t laugh at black people, he laughs with them. That’s an attitude he would do well to employ more broadly (and indeed was a tendency that aided in his rise in popularity, back in the day). And while Dave is certainly talented, the idea that you have to be competent to be very successful, inside or

Any time I hear a comedian talk about how they have to “take risks” and whatnot, it always strikes me as a pathetic, feeble excuse. The risk in comedy is not being funny, but the idea that shitting on some group of disadvantaged people is a risk makes so little sense.

I think you’re spot on that it’s often as simple as men, particularly white men, not knowing how to handle being told they can’t do something. The idea that they should do anything other than exactly what pops into their head is so foreign to them that they can’t process the smallest critique.

Welcome to how Gen X has felt for 30 years.

You could call it Cancel Culture, or you could call it People Who Lose Their Gigs Due to Incompetence (for example, a comedian who has ceased to be funny).

Robin Thicke has a regular gig as a “judge” on The Masked Singer. Now in its 2nd season. He wasn’t cancelled effectively either.

Which just further proves this point.
