Coulottes are the best, don’t hate on coulottes!
Like the Dumpster: “I’d never insult her looks, even though I’d have plenty of material, hohoho!”
Plus, since when is being calm & self contained superior to expressions of deep feeling? Oooh, we’re so inferior for being passionately upset about this serene asshole & her stupid beliefs & actions! MWW thinks like a troll with this “u mad bro” bs.
Thanks for the reply! I don’t think it’s inappropriate at all in education for the Title LastName. Preschool, the nephews did Miss/Mrs FirstName & I thought that was cool. And then in college, I think whatever the Prof wants is cool, just Professor seems easiest to me, but there’s probably a range of what people…
Except: I am the only actual auntie to my nephews, dammit! I guess I’m pretty selfish, but I want them to know that I’m special that way. They actually just call me by my first name though. :)
As a retail worker, I have a name tag. It has my first name on it. So am I less respected/respectable/deserving of respect from the dozens of strangers I encounter everyday? It seems like I’m being lowered in value according to this paradigm, because I am a customer service worker. :(
Thank you for letting me learn random things today :)
I’m curious about the ‘cutoff’, though. Like, should/would a 15yo call a 25yo Mr/Ms LastName? That is technically a child/adult dynamic. And then there’s the situation of people growing closer over time. If I started by calling someone Title LastName, but then our social relationship grew closer, when if ever, would I…
This made me think of the new(er) captain on Castle. She instisted on being called Sir instead of Ma’am, which I thought was a little weird at first, but then it was awesome and makes a lot of sense, since there is still that stupid hierarchy.
*mammy rammers*
Great post! I think people are forgetting that in this universe, they don’t even have zombie movies! Let alone this just seems like a crazy flu outbreak to the characters. It takes actively reminding myself of these points often throughout the episodes to really appreciate the story & pacing. Madison’s been the most…
Travis’s last name is Manawa, which is Maori, as far as I could find. The ex wife is Latina I believe.
Aaaand... the Dr guy with the Mother cell was the hermit who had killed his brother (Drill) when they were kids!
I’m weird too! I kinda love that film. Eerie, emotional, great acting. I think it is better than Signs (though I haven’t watched either in a while)
Not to mention, humans have emotions for a reason. ‘Logic’ without emotion is just as harmful as emotion without logic.
Opposite, is... opposite!
He was licking me!
Although I don’t share your preferences, I love your ocean analogy!
I didn’t remember until just now that I used to have nightmares about those things. Thanks! ;)
