WTF. This makes me so angry for you!
WTF. This makes me so angry for you!
I totally agree. It irks me to no end when I see all these posts on facebook about people who are married to their “best friend”. No. I am married to my husband. He is not my best friend. He is my partner and we share things that I don’t share with anyone else, but one person cannot be everything to me. I need my best…
Congrats on making it this far!
I don't even know what this means. Why does no one use punctuation anymore?!?
If going to a wedding is such a burden for someone, then they should decline.
I am from Boston and I only know one person who has ever had this. She called it a “Jack and Jill”. It is NOT common on the east coast, and it felt incredibly tacky. One of the bridesmaids also berated my husband into buying a shit ton of raffle tickets because “he is a doctor”, when actually he was a medical student…
It’s never about the “most attractive offer”. :(
“the earlier young adults learn to take resposibility for their actions and their behaviur”
Mostly only for poor black kids...

There is no one making sure that they go to class or do their work. I feel like you need to set the foundation when they are…
Straight up detention.
Ugh. This is awful. I’m so sorry.
That is how it read to me. It felt very counterintuitive because the attrition rate at a lot of these schools must be very high. I think back to Michael Brown’s mom and one of the things that she said right after he was murdered was that she had to work to hard to get her black son to graduate from high school. I…
Isn’t this usually how it goes though? No one in my generation is named Debbie bc it’s everyone’s mom, but my kids will prob be like “Deborah is a beautiful name and it was my grandma’s name. I loved her so much!” Wash and repeat.
I... what in the hell? This thread is ridiculous.
Agreed. I also went to a prep school with a dress code. Often we were told not to wear something again. Multiple reprimands got a (weekday) after school detention. More significant offenses (not dress code) got Saturday detention.
