Your recaps are the new “Megyn Kelly Today, Today” and I really appreciate your suffering on our behalf so I don’t have to actually keep watching the show. (I started watching when I was younger and dumber, and sort of stuck with it out of habit for way too long.)

I also love how his lawyer was the guy who defended pharma bro Martin Shkreli. Yes, everyone is entitled to a zealous defense, but this guy picks the scummiest of the monied scummy.

My cousin has BP2 and every time she switches up meds or the dosage she needs to be admitted (voluntarily) for at least 6 weeks until she is on a proper regimen. So yes, leave Britney alone - it seems she is doing all the right things to stay healthy.

I listened to the first season of the CBC podcast “Uncover” where they focus on NXIVM and I remember in an interview with Raniere’s lawyer, the lawyer says his client doesn’t “need” to force women to have sex with him or have sex slaves. How anyone can not see that this guy was so egotistical and needed to feel like

Being at Coachella at all is like having 10,000 lemons thrown at your face.

No, the very obvious theme for these first 2 episodes has been FAMILY. Who is your family, what does it mean, the family you choose vs. the one you were born into, etc. Theon is family and, for all the horrible things he did, he chose to come back and fight for the Starks—what you saw was Sansa taking her brother back

Long live the Lady of Bear Island, Long may she reign!

I didn’t even get a romance vibe from it. It was a reminder that they’re both survivors of the same abuser. And now they’re free together. Albeit, likely going to die, but still free and currently alive.

And there would also be at least a year of paid leave, then free childcare when you go back to work.

Her home sparks RAGE in me.

“...to get their dumb daughters into the University of Southern California.”

Walter was a fictional character, there was a reasonable guarantee how that would end.

This entire story feels like it’s moving into “Wolf of Wall Street” territory, where I’m beginning to wonder if we’re not just accidentally glorifying a horrible asshole now.

Remember the days before social media when we’d write our awful poetry in a diary and then hide it under the bed where no one would ever, ever see it? Yeah, I miss that.

I finished that podcast last week too after a rec from another commenter.  It was wild!

I just listened to the first season of the podcast Uncover, called “Escaping Nxivm,” in which they interview a woman who spent like 12 years in Nxivm as a speaker and only realized something was wrong when she was asked to join DOS. She was best friends with Lauren Salzman. It was interesting and messed up.

My friend, this is a book excerpt. Earlier in the book we learn that Angel is from Atlantic City. Thank you for your attention to detail and passion re: geography.

Well said! I also think that her father has been a “rock” for her (conservatorship or not) and for her to have to address the reality of the rock not being in the ocean anymore is very scary. And it’s OKAY to say “Wow, I know that, because I know myself enough now, this is gonna be very hard for me and I can't handle

Never been a fan of Britney, but I know a thing or two about mental health disorders and it’s very sad to see anyone have to go through the pain they cause, especially after she had been in remission for so long. Here’s hoping she gets the necessary treatment and can resume her life, and whoever wants to make snarky
