I've never been a fan of Targas, but that looks pretty special!

To all and sundry bitching about the automatic option on the Z06, have you ever driven one of the latest 8 speed autos? I recently had the opportunity to drive a 135i with the eight speeder and it's genuinely brilliant. I never felt the abscence of a manual gearbox, even during spirited driving. This auto hate and the

    That noise!!!

It almost makes me like the Qashslag.

W124 Mercedes. Carb-fed 2 litre taxi special to Porsche built 5 litre v8 monster.

My pick? Italy's chain called Autogrill. The food is delicious and they don't make you run in and out. They sell wine and olive oil. They have actual china, not crappy plates. It's an oasis in a world of terrible roadside stops.

Any compact Korean. In the last decade or so they've gone from amorphous lumps amounting to some car to genuinely interesting alternatives to ze germans.

It's only a perfect drift if you see a humanoid figure on the iDrive screen with a stupid baseball cap screaming in synthesized delight about his 'initial' and then proclaiming with perfectly synthesized hauteur 'drifting is too a sport!'

People regurgitating crap they hear on Top Gear ad nauseam.

Didn't Audi do something similar with the A1 e-tron?

The most impressive bit of the whole thing is doing all of this with effectively one hand on the steering wheel...

Conceptually I can find nothing wrong with it, but that price is more than a little bit mad. Crack Pipe.

    That's pretty awful.

I'm not sure, perhaps I need to see it in the flesh, but from these first pictures it looks a bit squishy.

    LSeverything.

It's just such a crying shame that it's a diseasel.

I think that's a pretty good pairing. Perez didn't deserve to be ousted from McLaren so quickly and Hulk is a damn strong driver.

How far along are they? If half of the film is done (assuming it was shot in vaguely chronological order, which it probably wasn't), cut it together and release it straight to youtube as it stands, unfinished. I think the series dies with Walker.

I know this isn't the done thing, but as an ex-owner, the E30 M3 isn't all that much. I'm sorry but I was massively underwhelmed by it.

This is genuinely sad news. I have lots of fond memories of long and earnest arguments with my mates at school on the relative merits and demerits of the two contenders. I was always a Holden boy with Larry Perkins as my idol. Such a shame to see a piece of Australian history disappearing.
