Have you gotten serious about strength training? Don't drop your calories further, and for heaven's sake, don't waste time doing more cardio. I've found that when you plateau, it's generally because of a lack of strength training.

You don't need to alternate days. That would quickly become too unfeasible. This is why most calorie-reducing diets build in a 7th "cheat day" to your week. It's as much for your metabolism as it is for your sanity.
