Dammit, beat me to it.

My wife is a financial aid consultant at the four-year private liberal arts college we both attended. The only thing she has to amend/clarify with this article is that, for those wondering, the primary employ for getting your loans paid that she knows of seems to be through nursing/hospitals.

Well, writing the paper I should've finished a week ago isn't any fun, so I usually check Lifehacker 25 or so times during the day.

Besides the godawful traffic, I could live with that. I don't think my wife could, though.

I'm a Southerner living in upstate NY. I can predict the weather without even waking up: cold.

Butter has many other great uses, as well.

There's a "yo dawg" joke in there somewhere. But I'm too lazy to make it.

This is problematic. See, me an' Quickie had a great relationship. But when she started to become disinterested, I tried to hang on. But then I met Alfred. See, Alfred was active...he took interest, noticed things, and he even tries to change. And now you're telling me Quickie is back? I don't know if I can take

Just what I've always wanted: to use a DreamCast controller with my Nintendo.

I have a footwarmer for my toilet already; it's called a "cat". Judgmental stares are free.

Twitter for Mac still has many issues - the one you mention with Spaces, forcing t.co links (especially for images, why would you support in-line viewing from most sources but then not link properly to the service I choose for my image?!?). But...overall I think it may still be the best option.

That is truly fantastic. I really need to do something like that with my desk. I like having art hanging above my desk, but my increasingly large pile of books on the floor might win out in the end.

I used to do that as well, until I discovered that a neighbor was rendering her own lard. I find the lard lends a much more natural taste to non-fatty foods (e.g., cornbread) when cooked in the pan as opposed to Crisco. Give it a shot!

Hm. I'll stick with lard for my cast iron.

Son of a bitch. Guess I'm not learning German this summer.

I dunno if it counts as a "micro-app", but Shovebox for Mac. I use it more like a micro-app than a larger app like DEVONthink, saving quick notes to myself and storing random bits of stuff from the net that I'll use as research kick-starters.

If you're looking to travel cheap, not a huge distance, and you live near more populated areas, consider riding a Megabus. Not quite as horrible as Greyhound.

Hmm...an article on comfort food posted on the same night as a new episode of Good Eats - on comfort food.

Congrats, you are 1/7 commenters who got the humor/rhetorical nature of my query. +100 Internets.
