It's impossible for me to think of Watchmen without hearing that song in my head. Between that, and Bob Dylan's "The Times They Are A-Changing" for the opening montage, they more than succeeded at capturing the graphic novel's spirit. The other tracks…less so.

You're correct. That trailer was in the season six DVD set. To be honest, Showtime did you guys a favor. After Mos Def's character left, season six was utterly disposable until the finale's last scene. Honestly, that's how season five SHOULD have finished instead of that shitty fake out ending that we got.

Well, it worked for Saw (even though its theatrical title was "Saw 3D" instead of the DVD version's "The Final Chapter").

Season three was horrible at this. The writers seem to have listened, since season four had almost no black characters kick the bucket…at least until season five.

Don't thank me. Thank tvtropes. :P

Exactly. Even with Charlie Sheen's laundry list of depraved actions over the years, he's still considered a memetic badass in a world of pussified millenial masculinity. Or at least that's the impression I get when some people talk about him.

Really? Damn, NPH. I get crossing the line twice, gallows humor, and all that, but…yeah. That's kind of tasteless.

I'm pretty sure the whole theater laughed their asses off when Obama's head blew up. I wish Matthew Vaughn asked the real Obama if he would shoot that scene. He certainly can take self-deprecation well, and would probably find it hilarious. But hey. Doppelganger or no, that was one of several highlights of the movie.

My favorite variation of this technique was "The Walking Dead" season 2 with T-Dog. It was simultaneously depressing and hilarious (in the middle of the clip, T-Dog bursts out "pantomime"). The problem looks worse in TWD's case, since you have 13-episodes worth of material instead of two odd hours. Proportionally

Honestly, I thought Saw 2 did a pretty good job showcasing why Jigsaw's philosophy was bull shit (via Donnie Wahlburg's cop character). Unfortunately, not all of the fans got the message, and still thought Jigsaw had a point, so Saw 3 had to be more blunt about the message.

Instead of "Unfriended", I have to give the "don't trust a trailer" award to "Kingsman: The Secret Service". Never before did I see such deceptively bland and unappealing commercials than that movie's. I seriously thought the R-rating was a joke. Thanks to my girlfriend's co-worker, he convinced us to go give it a

Death Sentence was a nice deconstruction of vigilante flicks (specifically "Death Wish"), even if the movie got ludicrous at parts. As for Saw, I'd even give the first two sequels a pass, since Whannell co-wrote those scripts (but dear god, I'll never get Saw 3's crucifix trap out of my head).

Funny that you use Lohan as the possible future example, because I always felt that way when her personal problems get splashed in the media. Because I actually enjoyed her work when she was still with Disney, seeing her self-destruct was painful. Even now, I pity the woman, because I'm not entirely sure if she can

Oh, you.

Many players found Yar'Ghul more annoying than anything else, but the first time I entered the village via the Hypogean Gaol was utterly terrifying. Everything was like twenty levels higher than you, and could murder you in two seconds. I used up all of my items to escape that place.

The load times have been addressed in patch 1.02. The game loads twice as fast now. Sometimes, the performance slows, but this happens so infrequently, it hardly registers as a problem. The game feels and looks great, otherwise.

Bloodborne, easily. The whole experience feels like a near-perfect union of every gothic horror action-adventure/action-RPG game in the last decade or so. The exploration of the Castlevania games (usually of the Metroid-vania grain). The brutal difficulty and addictive combat of Devil May Cry 3. The creepy atmosphere

I'm sure someone mentioned this to you already, but Dorne in "A Feast For Crows" was a lot more compelling with Ariane Martell, Prince Doran's daughter. Instead of the show's version of Ellaria Sand and the Sand Sisters starting an idiotic revenge plot, Ariane attempted a coup against Doran with Myrcella's kingsguard

Count me as another viewer who immediately detected the body double. "300" spoiled us all. XD

DKC3 certainly isn't bad, but it's majorly outclassed by the previous two games. It felt like a sequel more out of obligation than anything; lacking the novelty of the first, and the excellence of the second. For a weekend time waster, you could do much worse than DKC3, but for fans who skipped the game, I can't say
