If it ain't a white F250 crew cab super-duty with a brush guard/bumper it ain't it. That is the official truck of Texas

One of the relevant facts that is so often overlooked in these discussions is that 1 in 4 Americans lives in a rural area where things like uber or rideshare, taxis, buses et al don't exist, and personal vehicles (trucks, 4x4s etc..) are tools used for work, forestry, agriculture, hunting, recreation as well as

So is your sister in the Navy?

I remember the good old days when every truck ran 15" rims. If you saw 16 or 16.5" wheels they were on a 3/4 or 1 ton. They jumped to 16's then 17's, now 18's.

SUV's don't have a pickup bed. There are things I haul that are bulky, oversized, dirty, oily, bloody, stink, leak, or would otherwise ruin the interior of an SUV. Those things go in the bed.

Ford may be the worst at this. Chevrolet trucks actually have less ground clearance due to all the air dams etc... while still jacking the bedsides up.

Ah, Kalifornia. I thought you were referring to the United States for a while there. Everything's illegal in Kalifornia.

2x4's?? No. The kids will love riding in the frunk. Just leave the bonnet up and look out the window to drive, Ace Ventura style!

There is nothing served at a Red Lobster that can truthfully be called seafood.

Don't always have hooks on them when you need them, and a good old fashioned half hitch or cow hitch works as well for chain as it would rope.

You should get out more often, using a chain to tie a hitch is pretty common stuff.

This will fix the problem for ya.

I heard Martin Shkreli may be interested in his startup. Seems like they'd be perfect business partners.

I always wondered what Borat was up to these days. I see he's doing voiceover work.

I could have helped you with the rock problem. When Silverado's went to rear discs (2000 or so) they were notorious for picking up rocks. That sound became instantly recognizable. Easy DIY fix. When you first described the noise in your towing article it was the first thing I thought of.

I fully agree, just think about having the power/economy of todays modern engines in a vehicle that was 2/3 the size and 1/2 the weight. Our laws and safety requirements have added weight to modern vehicles faster than their size has increased.

Everyone complains about the fact that full size trucks are behemoths and mid-sized trucks are the size full-sized trucks used to be, but the reality is that in order to meet modern safety standards these things have had to grow, and gain weight.
