I could get behind that... low end torque of the electric motors, and mid-range acceleration and highway speed from the 1.4L (MANY existing Chevy applications) Maybe a 2L if the 1.4 responds too slowly with the larger amount of weight over the existing applications.

As for #2: Fiberglass tape is self adhesive, move convenient, and stronger... BUT is more expensive and can stretch (causing cracks in the mud) I'd suggest paper tape anywhere that doesn't need to have extra strength
