Hey Matt, why don't full stories show up in my RSS Feed anymore? It used to be awesome to just click the Jalopnik RSS feed in Outlook while at work to get TMS, but today it was just the intro without any gears... What gives?

I'd argue that a first car in poor condition and a driver with little money (learning to do maintnence themselves) makes a good gearhead. My first car was a 1994 Chevrolet Lumina with 208,000 miles, broke down multiple times, but I refused to bring it to a shop.

People rip on the 4L60E alot, I've never understood it. It could always be better but it I always found it to be acceptable for the application. Example for improvement: get rid of torque converter, add clutch, add user selectable gears, increase number of gears to 6.
