True but during the course of S1 she was definitely giving a sense of believing her own press. It was especially evident in Bora Bora Bora where she clearly believes she has healing powers, otherwise why would she tackle the girl in the wheelchair and risk the trip psych unless she thought she was really going to do…
It was pretty good, especially towards the end, but still under developed. Hopefully they will flesh that out next season. Also, they seemed to have dropped the who born again thing with Pennsatucky. That's good but they could have done it with some more finesse than "Nope, not crazy religious any more!"

If not the warden probably somebody part of the larger bureaucracy of the DOC. Not that it isn't possible she is a prisoner but I see her a being better at playing a cynical, overbearing bureaucrat, no offence to Mary Steenburgen.
I also like how they used it to give some flavor to the third tier characters. The guards O'Neill and Bell get all these little moments filling in their continuing relationship.
