As someone who played through the game when it came out, there was nothing sexy about this or any other level. It goes well beyond sexiness and into grotesqueness due to its gratuitous nature.

I’d argue that the fact that the Lust level is in hell makes it quite probable that it’s not supposed to be sexy. More like so close to sexy that the people who ended up there would be tempted, but then ultimately treated to something disgusting.

I was a programmer on the PSP port of this .. I recall thinking during development, “That is some good penis physics simulation.”

I think the tornado/whirlwind is a homage to the orignal text which describes the realm of lust as a perpetual storm, just as these sinners were carried away  so easily by their sexual impulses in life, so too shall they be in the afterlife...metaphorically.

I’m hoping in the future to write about more mobile games. I play a bunch of them and I really think people don’t realize how great they can be. Sure, some are scummy, but a lot of them are wonderfully designed and fun.
