The Coast Guard may not look to recoup costs but maybe a class action lawsuit against the business and the estate would not go amiss.

Agreed, if only because it gets ever more appalling that this thing was allowed for tourism in the first place.
I went to an event a while back that included a presentation from Victor Vescovo, a guy who collaborated on building a sub to visit the five deepest spots around the world. Very first thing he said about the…
1st Gear: licensing is probably the only way Lucid will be profitable in the foreseeable future - you can’t make money selling low volume expensive cars unless you’re Ferrari. Even Porsche had to throw in the towel and relented, producing the Boxster then Cayenne.
Ballast is ballast.... I don’t care if you strap on a ton of lead or a ton of steel, when it’s on the exterior of the vessel, it’s not gonna make a difference.
I mean it’s done the dive before, so it was clearly capable of doing it. How the design held up after multiple 4000m dives is another matter, I suppose.
What’s the big deal about the sub using Logitech? The US Navy uses XBox 360 controllers on its submarines. And the world’s first robotic IVF procedure used a PS5 controller.
I’ve worked in motorsports for 10 years and mostly in professional sportscar racing, just fyi ;)
This article seems to have missed the real impetus for this design from inception was the increased efficiency from high aspect ratio wings (thinner). Yes, most current designs look the same because we need to have wide wings to support the weight of the plane. The brace addresses this. Another problem to address is…
Stuff like this is why I’m concerned about Konami giving Silent Hill to these guys.
Just to clarify, saying that GT3 cars started as road legal is not accurate. There’s some basic core components that carry over, but GT3 cars are pretty much as purpose built racers as a Cup car is. They’re not just modified road cars.
The key here is your “built to specs” line - that’s everything.
The overwhelming majority of people who claim to speak for the overwhelming majority don’t know what the overwhelming majority actually wants.
If this whole Garage 56 Nascar thing has taught us anything, it’s that Nascar should bring back functional headlights. Simply replacing the stickers with actual housings makes the car look better. Having them actually work (obvious with this race) would be the cherry on top.
Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t need “saving”. At this point it’s a pretty great game with most of the issues ironed out, and good solid mod support as well. This will only add to that.
With these two new contracts, Tesla has a predictable future demand. I also expect that these partnership agreements include payments to continue the buildout. Mary Barra said that GM will now only have to spend $350M to build out EV charging, rather than the previously expected $750M, and I suspect that Tesla will…
Except here, NACS is superior to CCS in the US. Your analogy to lightning is not accurate as lighting does not have the same technical performance as USB C and USB C is a mess as there are multiple standards under that umbrella. NACS is easier to handle, smaller and less prone to breakage. Combines L2 and DC Fast…
The disaster in Canada is alleviating the problem in New York? 🤷♀️
I know towing isn’t hauling, but my full size Ford gets around 30% less mileage when towing the camper. Pulling/carrying weight takes more energy whether it’s from dino-juice or batteries.
What’s the mileage hit like on the ICE versions of these trucks, when hauling the same payload?
